  • Maintain and update the Loan Officer’s calendar
  • Update Realtors and borrowers throughout the loan process; ensuring compliance standards are being met
  • Communicate with the borrowers on any outstanding underwriting conditions; and assisting the buyer in satisfying those conditions
  • Creates new loan files by preparing documentation for scanning, entry into our system and proper storage
  • Facilitates internal communication between processing, underwriting and closing to ensure the closing date will be met; including, but not limited to pre-qualification and pre-approval
  • Organize and review active loans for accuracy and compliance prior to submitting to the Loan Officer
  • Monitor the status of each loan; and ensure accurate processing through to closing, including conducting any necessary research
  • Ensure the borrower’s application has been fully completed, so that the borrower can be properly pre-qualified; and then send the pre-qualification to the Loan Officer for review
  • Collect documentation and fees from the borrower, and submit to underwriting
  • Update loan officer on pipeline status and update borrower on status of loan
  • Accurately obtain & review applicant’s credit history
  • Loan Officer Assistants will represent Keller Mortgage’s mission, vision and values with integrity and professionalism
  • Loan Officer Assistant s will perform other duties as required
Qualifications
  • One or more years of work experience; preferred candidates will have experience working in the mortgage industry
  • Pass the SAFE exam and obtain mortgage license in the state(s) required by the Loan Officer and the EVP of Compliance
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting data
  • Demonstrated experience making solid business decisions with available information
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with attention to detail, written and oral communication, multi-tasking, and working in a team atmosphere adhering to tight deadlines
  • Loan Officer Assistant candidates will have a High School diploma; preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
