Maintenance Technician

Jenks, OK

Accountabilities/Deliverables:

  • Demonstrate an active commitment to safety

  • Demonstrate an active commitment to quality
  • Actively modify equipment designs that cause quality defects
  • Adhere to centerline, predictive and preventive check systems
  • Support the evolution of site systems and initiatives
  • Know and comply with area housekeeping plan
  • Actively evaluate equipment/process condition through interface with asset team members, review of work order history, parts usage, etc.
  • Respond to equipment/process failures and productivity problems and lead efforts to resolve issues
  • Review and improve reliability plans, tasks, documents, drawings, technical manuals and equipment bills of material, to support productivity, reliability and organizational effectiveness objectives
  • Initiate changes to equipment/systems, in support of mill and asset objectives, that will increase safety, productivity or reliability
  • Actively participate in modifications to and/or replacement of asset equipment/processes to achieve cost-effective, reliable operations
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise on equipment/processes
  • Demonstrate leadership through knowledge sharing, training delivery and development of other associates, leading equipment/process improvement activities, working with vendors to resolve equipment/process issues, etc.
  • Participate in annual performance reviews and one-on-one feedback
  • Participate in collateral duties as per Skill Map Matrix


Technical Knowledge and Expertise
  • High speed equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair
  • Hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical power transmission systems troubleshooting, repair and maintenance
  • Reading/interpreting hydraulic prints, pneumatic diagrams, blueprints and technical manuals
  • Basic Pipefitting, Welding, Machining, Alignment, and Rigging
  • Maintenance Management System (SAP/TALCM) - Create work notifications, plan work orders, confirm time
  • Procurement of Maintenance Materials & Services
  • A two-year Technical Degree or Trade Certification or five (5) years of Industrial Maintenance experience.
  • Must pass standardized test battery and minimizer test to be included in the selection process


Work hours:
  • The average work week will be approximately 45-50 hours
  • Must be able to work odd hours at times as business needs dictate
