Job Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Leasing Consultant for our apartment community. This role requires the Leasing Consultant to have superior sales, outstanding customer service and lead management skills to lease apartments or townhomes to prospective residents and maintain positive relationships with existing tenants. The ideal candidate will qualify prospects, prepare lease documentation and move-in paperwork as well as assist the property manager with the total performance of the property. You need to be able to work some weekends.

Primary duties include but are not limited to:

  • Show property and demonstrate apartment to prospective residents to close the sale.
  • Adhere to qualification standards when processing applications.
  • Responsible for thorough knowledge of the property, surrounding areas and competitors.
  • Accurately prepare all lease related paperwork including applications, leases and resident files.
  • Ensure all residents are on a lease and adhere to all lease expiration and rental increases.
  • Escort new residents to their homes upon move-in and complete the move-in inspection.
  • Assist in the collection of rent and handling delinquent accounts following all collection policies.
  • Participate in resident retention programs and assist in implementing marketing plans.
  • Responsible for inspecting the property to ensure a clean, well maintained community.
  • Maintain a professional attitude at all times to create a positive environment for residents.
  • Maintain courteous communications with residents and representatives of other companies.
  • Process work orders and ensure that residents are aware of any delays.
  • Contact residents who give notice to move to determine the reason and possibility of saving.

Qualifications:

Education:
Required: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)

Experience: No Experience necessary - Will train onsite

Additional Skills:

Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
Preferred: Knowledge and experience with MRI

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Required: Valid driver’s license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
