Language Translation from Italian to German Details

Use your expertise in Italian and German to help Duolingo users learn better!

Duolingo is looking for 3 Italian to German translators who are native speakers of German. The project is expected to last for 3-6 months. Based on future project needs, the contract could be renewed with outstanding translators. Come join us and help the world's learners study the language you speak!


Responsibilities:

  • Translate learning content from Italian to German
  • Review Italian to German translations
  • Use our internal tool for managing courses

Requirements:

  • Native fluency in German
  • Native or near-native fluency in Italian
  • At least intermediate translation level
  • Ability to put yourself in learners' shoes and provide the most easy-to-understand and accurate translations
  • Understand language flexibility and provide accepted translations
  • Experience of working in Google Spreadsheet
  • Quick learner of new tools
  • Available to work 25-40 hours per week
  • Responsive to new tasks and punctual in task delivery
  • Passionate about Duolingo's mission. Previous experience of using Duolingo App would be a plus.
