What drives you? Job Class: Laborer-General Working Title: Laborer General - Construction & Surveys This will be used to fill 5 Laborer General positions. Two (2) positions will be located in St. Cloud Surveys, two (2) position will be located in Baxter Surveys, and one (1) position will be in St. Cloud Construction. They will last for a duration of roughly 6 months starting on or around April 11, 2022. These two function's responsibilities will be described below: Surveys: This Laborer General position in Surveys will assist Transportation Series employees in performing work in the area of land, location and construction surveys. Construction: This Laborer General position will perform Contract Administration duties including: construction field inspection, materials testing, preparation of project documentation, and related work as required. Required for the Construction General Laborer position: Preferred Qualifications The physical demands of this job will vary, but typically requires occasional lifting objects such as 75-pound bags of sample materials; and frequent lifting and/or carrying objects such as heavy tools and file boxes. This job also may require walking or standing to a significant degree on rough terrain, may require accessing areas which require additional personal protective equipment [i.e. fall protection, life jacket, respirator, etc.], may involve inspecting work in awkward and/or difficult to access locations, or may involve sitting most of the time with pushing and pulling of arm and/or leg controls.
