This position serves as environmental analyst specializing in lead analysis using flame AA.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Perform sample login, preparation, treatment, and analysis
• Create lab reports
• Review lab reports for data accuracy
• Maintain flame AA, microwave digestion device, and other accessories
• Assist with team lead to maintain laboratory accreditations
• Perform all QC duties per ELLAP accreditation requirement
• Assist with customer services
• Assist with other lab analysis (will train)
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ):

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

Knows how to calculate chemical concentrations

Understands the principles of flame AA analysis

Has independent problem solving skills

Education/Experience (BMQ):

B.S. degree in chemistry discipline

Minimum one year flame AA metals analysis experiences.

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

Ability to perform equipment maintenance

Ability to work with different departments

Excellent in computer skills

Safety conscious

Good communication skills
