Position Summary: Responsible for managing the Company’s item master to ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness. This includes setting up new part records, bills and routes in the ERP system, resolving issues with existing parts, improving the item request process and establishing appropriate procedures and processes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: · Oversee setup of new item master records in ERP system; includes but not limited to: o Item branch plant records o Item conversions o Cost o Item / vendor cross reference information o Enter BOM / routing information · Adhere to and improves the item naming convention / descriptions · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information required for accurate item master setup · Ensure all required fields are populated correctly · Create and maintain work instructions, templates, procedures and workflows related to item master · Ensure item master data integrity, accuracy, quality, compliance and consistency · Perform revisions to item masters as required · Initiate data clean-up opportunities · Develop process / oversee part obsolescence in system · Assist in troubleshooting various issues that users encounter related to part setup · Understand the impact of incorrect maintenance on interdependent systems and processes · Assist with special projects and analyses as assigned by the leadership team Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: · Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering or business-related field or equivalent experience · Strong interpersonal skills and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities · Excellent organizational, technical and analytical skills with the ability to work with detail · Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft applications with the ability to work with large data sets · Ability to work independently and in a team environment · Ability to perform multiple functions simultaneously and prioritize those functions to meet the needs of internal/external customers · Experience with JD Edwards or another ERP system is desirable · Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment is preferable Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Physical Setting: Schedule: Work Location: Work Remotely: Work Location: One location
