Job Description Overview:
The HR Specialist supports overall Human Resources strategy by providing various administrative support. The areas of support includes, but are not limited to recruiting and onboarding, record keeping and retention, workplace safety, compliance, leave of absence, pay and benefits.
Position Overview:
- Responsible for managing ATS and recruiting process including job posting, screening applications/candidates, scheduling interviews and drafting offer letters
- Prepare and conduct new hire orientation and welcome new hires with onboarding process
- Coordinate and process materials related to HR programs/policies such as status and personnel data change, new hire and separation documents and employment verification requests
- Manage and maintain employee files and records (soft and hard copies)
- Conduct safety and ergonomic evaluations and take the lead in administering the credit union IIPP and other safety related matters for the organization
- Responsible for managing existing recognition program
- Manage MVR and parking permits
- Perform other administrative duties such as monthly reports, expense reconciliation, assisting with wellness events and audits
- Other duties as assigned
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- 3 years of directly related experience
- aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP strongly preferred
- Knowledge of legal requirements and legislations affecting Human Resources practice
- Maintain professional and friendly approach at all times
- Must be able to build and manage internal and external partner relationships
- Must be detailed oriented with strong troubleshooting skills
- Proficient with MS suite
