About the job

The Product & Partner Go-To-Market (PPG) team launches and lands new products, policies, and content strategies that make YouTube the world’s top destination for video. Our team of expert Product Specialists provides a unified voice for Product across several other key teams — including Surfaces & Apps, Content Creation & Engagement, Monetization, and Rights & Content Management — as well as the Partnership Enablement team, which brings product, policy, and content strategies to market via all the partner-facing teams across Google’s business.

YouTube is launching an entirely new short-form video experience (“Shorts”) on YouTube for both creators to create and share videos and for viewers to enjoy them. The mission of the Shorts business team is to grow a healthy, thriving ecosystem of Shorts creators globally. You will report to the Go-to-Market & Support Solutions Director.

As the Shorts Ops & Partnership Lead, you will have the exciting opportunity to create and lead a new business that excites, grows, manages, and supports Shorts creators at scale. Working closely with Product, Marketing, Partnerships, and the Operations teams within YouTube, you will be a catalyst and thought leader to shape and drive strategic initiatives to achieve our mission. You will be responsible for developing a global scaled partnership model and the team responsible for delivering the model - including both ‘human’ solutions and services for creators. Your team will be interacting with Shorts creators externally as well as advocate their needs for scaled solutions internally.

Finally, you will shape the development of ‘platform’ solutions with product and marketing that shape the experience for the whole ecosystem.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun — and we do it all together.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategy and own business performance of Shorts creators at scale
  • Recruit, hire and manage creator partner managers, specialists and analysts
  • Collaborate with YouTube stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Support, and Partnerships) proactively on developing scaled initiatives that drive Shorts creator growth, engagement, happiness and success
  • Lead the process of defining and scaling business experiments, providing metrics and insights on key business outcomes, and ensuring the strategic vision is communicated across the organization
  • Define longer-term scaled management, support and operational model to sustainably support growth of the Shorts ecosystem
