Duck’s Nest Preschool is seeking a Preschool Teacher to lead the Garden Program.

This position can be flexible to accommodate a candidate's need for part-time or full-time work.

This position first and foremost requires a candidate to meet Preschool Teacher qualifications. An established alignment with Duck's Nest philosophy and teaching practices is strongly preferred. A secondary requirement of this position is the strong interest and experiences working in an garden environment. Strong knowledge about plants/animals is preferred but not required.

Duck's Nest Preschool is a Play-Based program with an emphasis in Emergent Curriculum. Profile:

• A minimum of 6 ECE units with plans for further education
• Preferable: experience teaching with Emergent Curriculum or passionate about working in an Emergent program.
• Understanding of documentation and presentation in order to make the children’s learning visible.
• Familiar with and embrace the practice of Anti-Bias Education
• Open and inclined to outdoor education with skills to maintain care for garden and animals
• Team player, dedicated, an effective communicator with parents and co-workers
• Ability to teach multiple age groups and knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate practices
• Technologically proficient

Compensation will be determined on teaching experience, and education. Must provide references, and LiveScan clearance. CPR and First Aid certification is useful, but not required. Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
