ABOUT THE ROLE
In this part-time role, the Expansion Manager is responsible for the successful launch of a fully operational Uniform Teeth clinic, partnership, or service area in the matter of weeks. This person is a steward of Uniform Teeth’s mission and values, culture and clinical expertise.
This is a fast-paced, cross-functional role in which the Expansion Manager will partner with the Clinic Leads on the training of key members of the clinical team, collaborate with marketing and our clinical partners to bring our presence in the community to life, partner with operations to ensure successful build-out of our clinic, ensure ClinOps processes are learned and adopted by the new clinical team, and establish a “patient first” culture. This person will drive the set-up and implementation of a new business and then transition that managing of that business to the Market Manager.
The ideal candidate has a growth mindset, is hard-working, analytical, detail-oriented, and approachable. This person understands the blueprint for a successful clinic, empowers new hires to accomplish their clinical and business goals, and ensures a smooth transition to the Market Manager or Clinic Lead for the on-going management of the market or clinic. This person may also have the opportunity to learn about and grow into a role in real estate development, as the company builds its portfolio of flagship clinics.
The Expansion Manager will report to the Director of Operations and will partner closely with the Regional Director, Clinic Leads, Head of Sales, and Marketing team.
HOW YOU’LL HAVE AN IMPACT
- Expansion Operations: Manage the setup of a new clinic – ensure all clinical machines, equipment, and furniture is set-up and organized to match Uniform Teeth brand, partnering with external vendors as needed.
- Training: Manage and coordinate the training of the Clinical Coordinator and Patient Care Specialists and assist in training of Clinic Lead. Develop training schedules, implement training, and provide coaching and feedback, to ensure the team is ready to welcome and see patients on opening day. Provide coverage and assistance in all roles within the clinic, as needed
- Marketing: Partner closely with the Marketing Team to understand the new service area in regards to demographics and demand. Partner with the Marketing Team and local entities to promote Uniform Teeth in the community; collaborate in building collateral, executing events, and implementing promotions. Train a new clinic team on grassroots marketing and lead efforts on the ground in the first 3 weeks of operations. Ensure smooth transition of marketing efforts to the local marketing team.
- Sales: Work with the doctor, clinic team, sales team, and Market Manager to ensure the new clinic meets its sales objectives for months 1 & 2.
- IT and vendor management: Interface with IT and systems vendors to ensure that all site medical equipment, machinery, and imaging is operable and interfaces with internal UT systems. Transition management of vendors to the clinic team.
- Procurement: Partner with Procurement to ensure equipment and supplies are ordered and tracked.
- Admin: Manage the expenses of the clinic launch: ensure the launch budget is adhered to, organize invoices, statements, receipts and expenditures.
- Cross-functional project management: Partner with internal teams to ensure a successful launch: engineering, marketing, sales, customer support, manufacturing. Manage projects that directly impact the efficient and effective operations of the clinics and clinic launches.
- Ensuring the launch of the clinic creates an exceptional experience for our patients and our team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- 3+ years of clinical experience; you have worked as an orthodontic assistant, a treatment coordinator, and as a clinical coordinator such that you can adequately train others, coach as necessary, and step-in if needed.
- You act with a sense of urgency, and are motivated to provide an amazing, personalized experience to your new teammates and patients.
- You are an excellent communicator, regardless of channel (written & verbal) or group of people (both internal and externally). Proficiency in GSuite, EMR.
- You take initiative, you are able to identify opportunities and issues, coming up with ways to resolve them. You take action to remove bottlenecks and enjoy working in a fast-paced changing environment. You do not wait for others to solve the problem for you.
- You have a growth-mindset, positive attitude, assume positive intent if something goes wrong, and an appetite to navigate ambiguity.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience in Healthcare
- Experience in sales, orthodontic / dental, and front desk.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Healthcare Administration.
