Responsibilities: The Emergency room Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care given to patients in the Emergency Department. Employee communicates with the physician about the changes in the patient’s clinical condition including results of the diagnostic studies and syptomatology. RN Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the condition and/or response to treatment. Knowledgeable of Emergency Medical Technician regulations and the reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.Qualifications:

• Current California RN License.
• Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Must have one year experience in Emergency Department or approved training in Emergency Services.
• Management of Assaultive Behavior completed within 90 days of hire.
• Dysrhythmia certification.
• Current NIHSS certification, or within 90 days of employment.
• 4 hour Stroke class within first 90 days of employment.
