Position Summary: Performs all functions necessary to ensure accurate and timely registration of all patients accessing the facility. Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Training and Experience: Prior experience in medical field preferred. Knowledge of but not limited to admitting/registration process, credit and collection laws, insurance benefit calculations, HMO/PPO contracts, third party funding resources. Job Knowledge: General knowledge of medical business office practices. Strong communication skills. Basic understanding of business application software, billing forms, and medical billing regulations. Ability to maintain calm temperament under stressful conditions. Good math skills, deductive reasoning and general office machine operations.
