What does a great Enterprise Business Consultant do?
You are responsible for the management and oversight of two work streams – Requirements and Testing. You provide thought leadership to clients sharing Fiserv’s delivery best practice and tools and guidelines throughout the entire implementation lifecycle either on 1) large, complex, engagements or 2) a portfolio of projects for a specific client. Complex programs are defined as multiple product implementations combined with software development, systems integration and data conversion, large-scale ERP/Data Warehouse implementations, or custom product development, typically in excess of $10M.

You lead sessions to elicit, analyze, validate, document, communicate and lead high-level requirements at a solution level to include systems integration and software development, while providing direction, oversight, and coordination for high-level requirements management. In addition to a requirements focus, you will be accountable for identifying and defining the testing scope and approach and providing overall oversight for the testing lifecycle to include defect management.

This role will offer you the opportunity to exercise a wide variety of skills and experiences in program management, process improvement/organizational change management and consulting, with a focus on the requirements and testing domain across multiple programs and/or products, empowering you to deliver on the promise of One Fiserv.

In this role, you can look forward to these essential responsibilities:

  • Ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery through direct management and overall coordination of all requirements and testing work stream related activities.
  • Applying program management concepts to facilitate the achievement of program and work stream objectives.
  • Supporting the Engagement Director in the creation of the engagement schedule for requirements and testing. Directing related activities, internal and external, to include status reporting, requirement sessions, test meetings, defect meetings, and defect reporting across the solution.
  • Providing ongoing project management support in the form of identifying and managing issues, risks, actions.
  • Assessing the impact of requirement changes to the overall solution and project and act as a member of the engagement change control board.
  • Formulating, gaining alignment and ensuring execution of the requirements process, procedures and artifacts.
  • Transitioning the requirements and testing work stream per process to operational support as part of the engagement project closure.
  • Serving as the owner of the overall requirements management process. Facilitating requirement related sessions, collecting and documenting the various types of requirements to include standardizing the collection of high-level requirements and building business and system flow diagrams to ensure a holistic view of the solution.
  • Providing knowledge transfer to Fiserv product teams and participating in estimating sessions on new development required to meet client requirements; confirm Fiserv testing coverage, identifying and coordinating testing per process and organizing and facilitating client delivery turnover sessions.
  • Consulting with the Client's Engagement Testing Manager to develop a client testing strategy/test plan that aligns with Fiserv’s strategy/plan, sharing Fiserv's testing methodologies, providing tools and guidelines, and monitoring the clients testing metrics to jointly look for opportunities to gain efficiencies.
  • Providing test environment requirements to the Engagement Deployment Manager and working with the Engagement Training Manager to align training and testing activities.
  • Building and fostering client relationships and being seen as a single point for critical issues during an implementation to improve effectiveness and influence.
  • Being a continual improvement champion and key change agent by furthering the Enterprise Solution Delivery processes through effective utilization of standard methodologies in the field by mentoring, providing governance and capturing key insights to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements.

  • Has polished communication skills, written and verbal, including expressing ideas clearly and logically to all levels within the organization.

Required qualifications for consideration:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or high school diploma with equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience in custom software product development, systems integration, and/or software implementation services
  • 5 years of experience in business analysis with 3 years as a lead business analyst
  • 5 years in leading/managing the testing of large complex solutions
  • 3 years of experience in client facing consulting / professional services
  • 3 years of Program Management experience
  • Experience in banking, credit union, or other financial services
  • Experience in creation of business and system flow diagrams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Visio
  • Travel required: 30% to client site, incremental for internal meetings as needed (Post COVID19 pandemic)
  • Flexibility to work after hours/on-call/weekends as needed basis

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) awareness
  • Business Analyst background strongly preferred
  • Six Sigma training
  • Business process modeling experience
  • Process management/improvement in the area of solution/implementation delivery methodologies
  • Fiserv experience a plus
