Wonderspring Early Education is seeking to fill Early Head Start Co-Teacher at our Early Childhood program in the historic area of Pottstown. Early Head Start is a federally funded program providing early, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services to infant/toddlers and families. The ideal candidate for the position enjoys working with infants/toddler to help them thrive and prepare them for preschool. This opportunity is housed at our Keystone Star 4 Pottstown Center which has an established preschool education, toddler and infant programs with an excellent reputation. You will join a team dedicated to creating a nurturing learning atmosphere for every child and establishing long term educational foundation.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and implement best practices in caring for young children such positive behavior guidance and the most up to date health and safety practices
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor the development of each young child
• Communicate with parents about their child’s development and education

Skills and Qualifications:

• Child-centered approach to young children
• Child Development Associate (CDA) in Infant/Toddler care, strongly preferred or willingness to get one
• HS diploma or GED accepted
• Two years of verified paid experience working with children which includes paid babysitting or working in a summer camp, preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Current health assessment with a TB test and up to date clearances
