Completion of an AMA approved program of Diagnostic Medical Sonography or meet the educational requirements for registration by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and (1) one year of experience as an Echocardiogram Technologist performing adult and pediatric echocardiograms. Experience in vascular sonography preferred. Must be able to work independently and possess a high degree of technical aptitude with regards to the equipment being used and the physical principles which underlie it's operation. Must have the ability to provide care based on physical, psychosocial, and related criteria appropriate to the age of the patient served.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), American Registry Of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, constant exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, frequent activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, frequent crouching/stooping, frequent kneeling, constant pushing/pulling, constant reaching, constant sitting, constant standing, constant twisting, and constant walking.
