Description: The Director of Strategic Communications is responsible for planning and executing ARRT's overall communications and public relations programs, including responsibility for the quality of the processes as well as the quality of products. The Director will provide professional guidance to the ARRT leadership team and will work collaboratively with other ARRT staff assuring that public relations and communication activities will fulfill best-practices standards. The Director will lead, motivate, supervise, and evaluate the communications department to promote a consistent, professional and collaborative image for the ARRT and help achieve its goals. The director will have significant responsibility to help assure excellent relationships between ARRT and all of its key stakeholder categories, and that all work products be of the highest professional quality. The director should be highly conversant in the theory and practice of these fields. The Director reports to the Executive Director on policy matters and the Senior Director of Business Operations on operational matters and supervises the department staff. Also responsible for department budgeting and contributing to strategic planning for the department and organization.
