An opportunity to join a growing team as Albany Med launches its first new Intensive Care Unit in over a decade. This specialty hybrid ICU/Progressive Observation unit manages a mix of medical and surgical patients. A key existing component of this Unit is a highly cohesive team, that will be preserved and supplemented by heavy nursing/physician interaction. Eagerness to learn, attention to detail, intellectual flexibility, dedication to learning and clinical excellence are all key components to being a successful applicant. A desire to learn and grow in your practice in a highly collaborative environment is a must. New RN graduates welcome to apply.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional academic nursing program in which a Diploma, Associate Degree or Baccalaureate Degree is conferred
• Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license
• Obtains and maintains certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational and time-management skills. Ability to multitask physically and mentally.
• Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques and demonstrates ability to apply in support of departmental and patient care quality improvement
