The Clinical Informatics Coordinator is responsible to provide expertise and support in the evaluation, planning, design, development, implementation, training, maintenance and ongoing support of clinical applications. This role works closely with clinicians, facility/departmental leadership, Quality, Patient Safety, Nursing Informatics and Information Technology to clarify needs, prioritize requests, advise on technology design, workflow/process redesign, and support change to the enterprise electronic health record and other clinical systems.
Has advanced knowledge of the Cerner EHR for clinical application. Surgical Operating room experience a plus. Advanced independent interaction with clients and the ability to demonstrate critical thinking and service oriented follow through. Advanced understanding of the associated workflow requirements needed to enhance direct patient care, achieve and maintain federal incentives/standards along with outcomes related to patient safety and quality initiatives.
Responsible for establishing credibility at all levels and building partnerships with customers and colleagues.
Qualifications Education Requirements: 4 years / bachelor's Degree: Nursing or other Clinical Specialty (REQUIRED) Graduate of accredited school of nursing or another clinical program.
