Position: The Lead Director is a key member of the therapeutic team at Positive Development. The clinician will work in collaboration with other clinical team members, in order to provide a true developmental and interdisciplinary approach of excellence to children and their families. Developmental intervention continually assesses the client's unique individual sensory-motor profile needs, challenges, strengths, and moment to moment fluctuations in functional-emotional developmental levels to keep the clients engaged in appropriately challenging interactions.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• New client intake

• Review any previous assessments/IEPs provided by the family to understand the child’s current needs.

• Conduct initial developmental assessments for each child such as the SEGC, Vineland, PSI, CARS-2.

• Identify and document appropriate developmental goals based upon the assessments and parental input.

• Work with the assigned OT and SLPs to develop a comprehensive treatment plan for the child and family.

• Provide ongoing direct MH family services to children with ASD and his parents utilizing a developmental approach to work towards each child’s goals and to strengthen developmental foundations.

• Monitor each child’s progress on an ongoing basis. Record session notes in the child’s Electronic Health Record and communicate progress to other members of the team, including the parents.

• Supervise Developmental Client Coaches (para-professionals) who are assigned to your client’s team.

• Participate in bi-monthly team meetings and ongoing supervision.

• Communicate regularly with the child’s parents and the rest of the clinical team.

Other responsibilities:

• Mentor new Positive Development therapists in their training, including case reviews, and reflective coaching.

Educational Requirements:

• Clinical licensure in the state of Missouri
• Master’s degree in related fields:
• LPC
• LCSW
• MFT
• Psychologist

Qualifications:

• 1 to 2 years of experience managing caseloads in a related field

• Experience providing community based individualized support and services to families

• Experience working with clients with different sensory, cognitive profiles, and cultural backgrounds

• Responsive, responsible, and reliable

• A genuine natural, robust, and playful disposition

• Must have reliable transportation
