SEGULA TECHNOLOGIES is hiring a Chassis Technician to join our growing team in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This is a 2nd shift position! Initial training to be on 1st shift. Must be flexible to work overtime when needed.

Job Description
  • Ensure test vehicles are prepped for daily testing on chassis dynamometer or on-road tests.
  • Safely set up 2WD and 4WD vehicles on a chassis dynamometer.
  • Remove and install powertrain test parts, including engines and transmissions. Ensure correct operation.
  • Install various types of data collection equipment to test vehicles to measure temperature, pressure, voltage, RPM, CAN and ECU signals.
  • Drain and refuel test vehicles.
  • Track and manage vehicle test parts.
  • Ensure safe, high quality, and efficient use of all company resources.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma required. Associate’s Degree or Automotive Trade School degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Automotive Technician / Mechanic experience. Toyota dealership experience (or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Must have a strong mechanical aptitude, including the ability to operate machinery and disassemble / reassemble things with minimal instruction.
  • Must have a good understanding of automotive emissions systems.
  • Machine shop experience, including welding (MIG, TIG) and fabrication a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently and with a team.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must have strong organization skills.
  • Must have strong safety mindset.
