JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

As a member of the Bully Pulpit Golf Course team, a Beverage Cart Attendant will report to the PGA Assistant. A Beverage Cart Attendant will have a primary day-to-day responsibility to serve alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages, and snacks to patrons. Also, collect money for items served, and drives the beverage cart.

Essential Functions

1. Drives the beverage cart on the golf course to provide food items and beverages for players.

2. Observes safety regulations and state laws regarding vehicle operation.

3. Greets customers and answers questions regarding the menu.

4. Takes food and beverage orders.

5. Ensures that customers are of legal drinking age by checking photo IDs.

6. Uses proper judgment and, when necessary, refuses service to patrons who are intoxicated or disruptive.

7. Collects money from customers for items served and tracks totals for items sold.

8. Ability to learn cash register software used.

9. Maintains clean equipment and keeps cart organized.

10. Keeps the cart stocked at all times.

11. Participates in workplace safety training sessions.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

There are no supervisory responsibilities for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional golf course environment. This role routinely uses standard golf course and bar equipment. Continuously works with others and in hot or humid temperatures outside.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to sit, hear, have repetitive use of hands and arms, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, lift, and carry up to ten pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to determine accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned and able to determine the safety of workplace surroundings.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time seasonal position. Days and hours of work are varied based on the needs of the guests.

Required Education and Experience

1. Previous customer service experience preferred, but not required.

2. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

3. Applicable state licensing and certification required.

4. Must be legal drinking age or older.
