Associate Accountant.

Do you have experience interacting with customers? Are you interested in developing your career in the insurance and technology industries? Our Associate Accountant will be responsible for leading accounting operations for our flood insurance team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzes and reports on accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness. Collects year-end closing financial information, posts all journal entries, review financial statements and ensures accuracy of data for filing, payment and audit purposes.

• Performs Payments and Commissions reconciliation within the company salesforce platform to ensure the accuracy of all financial information.
• Completes bill.com schedules for payments allocating commissions and payments to carriers, brokers and third parties.
• Leads auditing an tax processes.
• Prepares and distributes complex financial reports for Executives and Sr. Management.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• 3+ Years of work experience in Accounting.

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economy, Finance or related.
• Insurance/Technology background would be a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, analytics, detailed oriented and problem-solving skills
• Located in Saint Petersburg, FL
