Job Description:

The Account Manager will partner with school district’s facility manager and ABM employees for the day and evening shift operations at Calumet School District 132 in Calumet Park, IL. He/She will manage the work within the appropriate budget requirements and work closely with the client as a liaison between the district’s management and ABM operations. He/She will help to resolve any customer issues as well as employee relations issues.
Minimum 8 hours a day, 5 days / week. This position may require more hours based on additional responsibilities or emergencies.

Essential Functions

• Be a voice in the strategic planning phase of upcoming projects
• Help coordinate and manage the project from inception to completion
• Review project designs and contributes ideas for cutting costs
• Carry out daily operational tasks in an effective and timely manner
• Help problem-solve issues and suggest ways to improve the project
• Organize, file, and maintain all current project documents
• Assist in ensuring compliance with necessary specifications
• Coordinate and execute daily administrative tasks
• Help create and adhere to project timeline and calendar
• Ensure project adheres to a set schedule and is meeting the goals of the client
• Minimum 8 hours a day, 5 days / week. This position may require more hours based on additional responsibilities or emergencies
• Writing Skills – Must be able to write basic business documents in English.
• Candidate must carry themselves with a professional demeanor that represents the company well, as they will be a point of contact for the building management staff.

Education / Training

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferred but not required. Experience in the cleaning industry or building management field is preferred.

Job Knowledge / Experience

• Previous experience is required. Previous management experience strongly desired but not required.

License(s)

• Clean and Valid State driver’s license.

Language / Communication Requirements

• Must be able to read, write and speak English. Spanish literacy skills desired but not required. Must possess good interpersonal skills.
