MOTION SOLUTIONS SUMMARY: Motion Solutions provides custom, application-specific engineered systems to OEMs and industrial customers in the medical, life sciences, semiconductor, robotics, and industrial automation sectors. POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Manager 2 (AM2) leverages our team’s engineering expertise to develop solutions that meet the customer’s requirements. They leverage their dynamic personality to understand customer challenges and propose those solutions in either quote or proposal format. The AM2 navigates this process in a consultative manner, exclusively through phone or e-mail communication. They are responsible for both inbound inquiries and maintaining relationships at our current customer base. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years’ experience in a sales support or engineering role or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Engineering or Mechatronics degree a plus. Factory automation experience is highly desired. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret project specifications, drawings, graphs, technical procedures, and catalog data. Ability to write reports, quality procedures, and work instructions. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, engineers, customers, and our principals. Accomplished English speaking and writing. MATH SKILLS Ability to do basic math as well as understand basic engineering principals. REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to assess a competitive situation and determine the best course of action to allow us to compete at that particular account. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal: Interacts frequently with a variety of Motion Solutions personnel such as: President, Materials, Engineering, Inside Sales, Finance, and Outside Sales. External: Interfaces with all key customers and suppliers.
